Games is an ongoing growth area for Nordisk Film. Started in the summer of 2016 with the first investment in January 2017.

Today we have invested a total of 250+ million Euro in a dynamic and growing portfolio of game studios. In Nordisk Games we have a portfolio of 5 game studios that are enabled to develop lasting global IP’s and rich gaming experiences for millions of consumers worldwide: Avalanche Studios Group, Flashbulb Games, Mercury Steam, Star Stable Entertainment and Supermassive Games.

We are proud to own an independent and award-winning game studio like Avalanche Studios Group. Avalanche Studios Group is the original creator of games such as the award-winning Just Cause franchise, theHunter: Call of the Wild, and Generation Zero.

Diversity in games

To promote greater variety in games and workplaces Nordisk Games actively support diversity in the game industry by hosting events and participating in events, groups and debates on the issue. Gamers are diverse, games and workplaces should reflect that.

Supporting the ecosystem

We support the game industry ecosystem by backing existing initiatives such as Game Habitat in Malmö, Copenhagen MatchUp, and many more. With a select group of industry veterans we have also initiated the summit Bornholm Game Days (#BGD), an invite-only event for game industry thought-leaders where we discuss industry challenges and take the lead in shaping the future of the industry.
