As of 1 October, the two state of the art Danish cinemas BIG BIO Nordhavn and BIG BIO Herlev are officially part of Nordisk Film Cinemas and continue under the names Nordhavn Bio and Herlev Bio.
The cinemas continue to offer the big-screen experiences, luxury seating and welcoming atmosphere that guests already know – and the staff remain the same. As part of Nordisk Film Cinemas, guests also gain access to a range of additional benefits and experiences.
Farukh Olskær Saghir has been cinema manager since 2020:

New benefits for guests
As part of Nordisk Film Cinemas, guests in Nordhavn and Herlev now gain access to the BioPlus loyalty club, the BioPlus Unlimited cinema subscription, and Nordisk Film Cinemas' wide range of events and special offers.
At the same time, the two cinemas become part of a larger nationwide network. Nordisk Film already operates 24 cinemas across Denmark, allowing guests to use their member benefits wherever they choose to watch a film.

About Nordhavn Bio and Herlev Bio
Nordhavn Bio (formerly BIG BIO Nordhavn) is located at Hamborg Plads in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. The cinema opened in 2019 and was the first new cinema in the Østerbro quarter in more than 40 years. It has five screens.
Herlev Bio (formerly BIG BIO Herlev) is located in the Big Shopping centre in Herlev. The cinema opened in 2015 and was the first cinema in Europe to offer both luxury recliner seating and Dolby Atmos sound in all screens. It has five screens.
Both cinemas are fully equipped with Dolby Atmos sound, and all screens feature luxury recliner seats that can be reclined and adjusted as required.
