
Nordisk Film Distribution is strengthening its focus on Nordic films and has appointed Silje Nikoline Glimsdal as Head of Nordic Acquisitions with effect from 1 August 2025. She joins from a position as Senior Acquisition Manager at SF Studios, having previously worked as a Sales and Project Manager at TrustNordisk.
Silje Nikoline Glimsdal is joining Nordisk Film’s local acquisition team. Based in Copenhagen, she will be primarily responsible for film acquisition in Norway. As a distributor, Nordisk Film is a market leader in local films, and last year it had the largest market share of local films in the Nordic region.

Nordisk Film Distribution acquires, distributes and markets films and TV series in the Nordic region, including titles produced by Nordisk Film itself, as well as those produced by external partners and production companies. Approximately 60 new films are released in the Nordic region every year, around half of which are local Nordic titles.
