Nordic feature films headed to Disney+

Disney+ becomes the exclusive first home of local theatrical releases in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland from Nordisk Film, starting in 2026.

Nordisk Film, part of Egmont Group, and Disney+, announced today they have closed a multi-year deal in the Nordics, starting 2026, bringing the best of local Nordic feature film production exclusively to Disney+ viewers in the Nordic region after their theatrical and digital buy/rent run. The agreement includes approximately 90 Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish feature films in total over the period*.  

The first films to land on the service in the fall of 2026 include the Danish comedy KLASSEFESTEN 4, directed by Tilde Harkamp, starring Anders W Berthelsen, Nicolaj Kopernikus and Troels Lyby, the Swedish comedy GRANNFEJDEN, directed by Ulf Malmros, starring Robert Gustafsson, Kjell Bergqvist and Tova Novotny, and the Norwegian drama DRAPET PÅ BENJAMIN HERMANSEN, directed by Ingvild Søderlind and starring Laila Goody.

An unparalleled slate of Nordic blockbusters

Available to stream now exclusively on Disney+, customers can enjoy FX’s ALIEN: EARTH. Streaming now is THE TWISTED TALE OF AMANDA KNOX, and coming soon are CHAD POWERS, Season Five of ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING and Disney’s LILO & STITCH. Later this year, customers can also look forward to the original Ryan Murphy legal drama "ALL'S FAIR, Season Two of PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS, and Marvel Television’s WONDER MAN. Disney+ will also be the home of UEFA Women's Champions League from season 2025/26, as the only place fans can watch all 75 live matches in the competition. Additionally, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League will air exclusively on Disney+ in Sweden and Denmark, all included in the subscription.
