Nordisk Film Distribution – a division of Nordisk Film, one of the oldest film studios in the world – is the leading distributor of local films in the Nordic region and has an extensive catalog of film rights.
A YouGov survey conducted for Nordisk Film’s streaming service, Nordisk Film+, in 2024 shows that Danes’ top 10 favorite films include three directed by Anders Thomas Jensen: FLICKERING LIGHTS, THE GREEN BUTCHERS and ADAM'S APPLES. These are films featuring some of the most memorable roles of actor Mads Mikkelsen, and they are among those that will now find a new home at Nordisk Film.

Kim Magnusson founded M&M Productions with his father, Tivi Magnusson, in 1995. The company has produced several Danish films and won multiple Oscars®. Magnusson is delighted with the agreement with Nordisk Film:
”I am very proud of the mark M&M Productions has made on Danish film. That is why it has been important to me that our catalog of feature films is preserved in the best possible way. I am confident that our films will thrive at Nordisk Film Distribution, ensuring that they can be enjoyed on all platforms.”
Kenneth Wiberg adds, “At Nordisk Film, we will do our utmost to make these titles widely available in Denmark and the Nordic region. We are already restoring several of the biggest titles so these films can be accessed in the best format.”
* The survey was conducted by the public opinion and data company YouGov. A total of 1,529 CAWI interviews were conducted with Danes aged 15-79 between September 3 and 18, 2024.
