Extraordinary effort
We award the three Danish honorary awards in connection with ISBJØRNEN, Nordisk Film Fondens' award show that takes place each year in November in connection with our birthday.
We give our awards to talents who have made an extraordinary effort in Danish film.
The decision of recipients of the different awards are taken in designated committees. Each award has its purpose and its committee.

The award committees
For both Nordisk Film Prisen and Erik Ballings Rejselegat the award committee consists of max. 6 people. Nordisk Film Fonden’s committee annually appoints the chairperson of the award committee on the recommendation of the director of Nordisk Film Production. A member of the award committee is appointed for 1 year and can be appointed for a maximum of 3 consecutive years. Nordisk Film A/S's representation cannot exceed 2 persons.
The award committee for Ove Sproøge Prisen consists of max. 9 people. The family of Ove Sprogøe has 1 permanent seat. Nordisk Film Fonden’s committee annually appoints the chairperson of the award committee on the recommendation of the director of Nordisk Film Production in collaboration with Ove Sprogøe’s family. A member of the award committee is appointed for 1 year and can be appointed for a maximum of 3 consecutive years. Nordisk Film A/S's representation cannot exceed 2 persons.
