Among the first titles covered by the agreement are Josh Safdie’s comedy MARTY SUPREME with Timothée Chalamet, Benny Safdie’s sports drama THE SMASHING MACHINE with Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, Mark Anthony Gordon’s horror thriller OPUS with Ayo Edeberi and John Malkovich, Alex Garland’s action picture WARFARE with Will Poulter and Cosmo Jarvis, Alex Scharfman’s comedy thriller DEATH OF A UNICORN with Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega and Ari Aster’s thriller EDDINGTON starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone and Austin Butler, all of which Nordisk Film will release in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

WARFARE by Alex Garland is based on ex-Navy Seal Ray Mendoza's real-life experiences during the Iraq War.

Benny Safdie's THE SMASHING MACHINE is the story of mixed-martial arts and UFC champion Mark Kerr. The film stars Dwayne Johnson as the titular character.
A strong partnership
The strategic partnership between A24 and Nordisk Film will make Nordisk Film the key destination for A24’s films in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland going forward.

The highly anticipated comedy horror film DEATH OF A UNICORN, which is written and directed by Alex Scharfman and stars Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega, and Will Poulter, is among the A24 films headed to Nordic cinemas in 2025.
