At the same time as she meets her first love, Ella is placed in an institution. Should she accept a life of captivity just because she is in a wheelchair or should she fight to achieve her dreams?
SUMMARY
When Ella moves away from home to study, she discovers that the world is not made for her. Growing up, she didn’t think much about the fact that she was in a wheelchair and dependent on others, but when she loses her assistance and has to move into the Soltun institution, she feels disabled for the first time in her life. The rules and routines at the institution quickly prove to be very limiting, and the freedom Ella has taken for granted until now is taken away from her. At the university, Ella meets her first love; Oliver. How can she open up to him and dare to go “all in” when the world around her prevents them from being together? How can one have faith in being loved when surrounded by voices that deny your worthiness of afection?
